Welcome to Year 1!

Coeso i flwyddyn Un!!

This week we have been celebrating week 2 of Welsh fortnight. We have been lucky enough to listen to the Welsh Brass Trio. They wee amazing and very funny! We have created fact files and created art masterpieces in the style of Helen Elliot. We made delicious Bara Brith and learned all about St David. We have been writing independent poems about Wales and looking at the Welsh national costume. 

During this his busy week we have celebrated Shrove Tuesday by eating lots of pancakes and are looking forward to dressing up as a character from our favourite books. 

Not to mention the incredible concert we took part in at the beginning of the week!!! 

We were awesome! Singing, dancing and reciting poems all in Welsh! What a culture filled week we have had which has given us a huge sense of belonging to the Welsh culture!!
