Nursery - the school year in which the child attains his/her fourth

birthday. Part-time places are available for children the

term following their third birthday.

Reception - the school year in which the child attains his/her fifth

birthday.

Parents will need to apply for a place for your child on the BCBC website and complete an admission form. They will be notified by the Authority if the place has been accepted and the school will be notified of this.

Parents will also need to complete a School Registration form, prior to their child starting school. Please telephone the school to complete this form.

Information requested will include:

1. 1. background information, such as date of birth, parents’/guardian(s) names etc.

1. information regarding Welsh language, ethnicity and

   nationality – this information is not compulsory.

2. contact details in case of emergency;

3. details of any illnesses or health problems.

    

   The school should be informed immediately:

• should any details change e.g. phone numbers.

• if the child is to move to another school so that any relevant records can be transferred.
